Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka is a Belarussian born in Minsk. Sergey Her father (who died in the year 2019) was a ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka's career began in Minsk Belarus, on 5 May 1998. Aryna's Sabalenka holds 12 WTA Singles titles. One of which was the "Grand Slam" at the Australian Open 2023. In doubles, she is a great player. She has won two majors along with Elise Mertens in the US Open in 2019 and the Australian Open in 2021. This year, the Belgian was the winner of both WTA 1000 and the WTA 1000 and Miami Open in Indian Wells with her Belgian teammate, and completed The Sunshine Double. Only four women's pairings could have done this feat. On 23 August 2021 she reached second place on the list of world singles rankings the highest position she had ever reached in January 2023. As a double, she was able to propel herself into first position during February of that same year after the victory in Melbourne making her the second tennis player from Belarus to succeed in this particular area. Dmitry Tursunov was her coach throughout 2018, up until the season was over in the year 2019, and then for a limited duration at the beginning of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann had a brief time as her coach in August of 2020 until September. Since the end of 2020 she's been coaching by her coach, Antonio Dubrov. Her greatest idols include Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova.
